Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)
ASC can help with the preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which is an important step in the development application process. The EIS assists with planning and decision-making for proposed projects by providing assessments regarding potential environmental impacts for a proposed project. The EIS will document the already existing natural features on and around the site of the project, identify any potential environmental effects of the project, suggest strategies to mitigate such effects, and make suggestions for improving natural features and functions.
An EIS that is started early can be utilized as a planning tool to help create a strategy that avoids harmful environmental consequences by identifying regions with important ecological or natural features that should be preserved. The EIS gives agencies the knowledge they require as a decision-making tool to assess whether a proposed project conforms with current regulations or if any adjustments are required.
